EYGEV Yalova Branch President/Advisory Board Member Dr. Instructor Ebrar Atak's book titled "Cognitive Basis of Movement, Motor Learning Theory and Strategies" has been published.

Neurocognitive kinesiology, neurodevelopmental therapies, and neurokinetic therapy are concepts that have been frequently mentioned recently, inspired by the intertwining of neurological and cognitive processes and physical processes. It is known that mental functions are affected positively or negatively by cognitive functions and physical functions are affected by mental functions in children and elderly population. Particularly planned movement-based trainings contribute positively to the cognitive and motor processes of children with special needs and support their socialization with their peers. In today's conditions, children who are deprived of outdoor activities, spend most of their lives indoors and stay away from games with the effect of screen addiction, if they have an additional learning problem, have a very difficult time adapting to their friends. This book is for physiotherapists who are interested in cognitive therapy and want to improve themselves in this field, aiming to improve cognitive functions in various patient groups at different stages of rehabilitation, and want to have exercises. It is intended to be a beginner level resource.

As EYGEV, we wish this valuable work to have many readers.
